Patty Case Wreath...

Cruising around over at Little Miss Momma the other day I came across this awesome tutorial for a coffee filter wreath. I fell in love with the idea.

But I didn't have any coffee filters or a round form for the wreath. I didn't want to spend the dollars on getting supplies so I searched the house for alternatives and here is the end result.

I am pretty happy with it. All that's missing is a large turquoise B hanging in the middle and then it is going on the front door. Yay.

Here's how I did it.

Thick sturdy piece of cardboard
Small patty cake/ cup cake cases
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Ribbon for hanging

I cut a large rectangle frame shape from a thick sturdy piece of cardboard. I made each side the width of a thick ruler.

I used the method shown on LMM. I used a marker in the centre of each patty case to scrunch around, apply glue and press down. Such a nifty idea.

It was such a quick process, 10 minutes max and I just love the end result.

Em that is so pretty!!! With the humidity here I don't think the cardboard would hold up but I think I shall try it anyway. :)
