Support The Sisterhood...

What is it lately that is making grown women become the people who are trying to tear other women down?
What is going on in our society, in our community.

Some of my favorite bloggers have recently been hit by hurtful and downright unnecessary comments.  Yes, there are always going to be people who don't like or agree with your actions and/or opinions. Yes, sometimes there is a place for constructive criticism, but this is way beyond that.

This is commenting just to be bitchy.

It is wrong and hurtful. I believe these commenters know that. Because they hide behind being 'anonymous'. If they were confident and proud of the comments they made they would use their own names.

The anonymity of the internet and in the blogging community can be a curse that turns everyday women into bullies spitting venom in their words. Most people would never say cruel things to someone's face about their opinions/creations/writing/choices or even write a letter with the same sentiments. But in the instant world of the internet it seems that they lose all sense of control.

There is no doubt this behavior stems for insecurities, jealousy and feelings of worthlessness.

We need to start realizing that everyone has their own paths to follow. One blogger may be an amazing photographer. One may be a fantastic organizer. One may be a creative genius. One may be able to write the most inspiring posts. One may a sensational cook.

That doesn't make them any better or worse than you. Just different.

We need to look at the success stories in the blogging world as inspirations and look up to them. Not try to cut them down. Tall poppy syndrome has always been around. But I want the blogging community to
take a stand against it.

Let our amazing community support and nurture each other. We should all want our fellow bloggers to succeed. Another persons success does not mean your failure. Far from it. If you support and encourage fellow bloggers they will do the same for you. Wonderful isn't it!

Lets support the sisterhood!
Yes, I am aware there are male bloggers out there but by and large its us girls blogging.

Okay so lets all party and support each other. Link up your blog below and then visit as many of your fellow linking bloggers as you can. You never know what new fantastic blogs you will discover! And please leave comments. We all love comments and the comment you leave may just be the highlight of that persons day.

Please take a button and display it proudly on your blog!

Let us be the change that we want to see!

Em xo

Em, you are so right. I too was very sad when I heard of the awful "anonymous" comments left on those very amazing bloggy sister's sites. It makes me so sad to know there are people out there who would make such nasty comments. I agree, we are all different and each of us have strengths and wish that we could have what others are good at too. I think this is why we all love one another so much because we are inspired by one another and can learn so much from sharing our lives on our blogs. Thank you for creating this so we can continue to support each other. =)

I agree. I don't see what will draw people to write such nasty, hurtful comments. There is no need for this and people who are meant to be grown women need to act that way.

I will gladly put the button on my blog and show my support for the sisterhood.

I truly believe we are here to support each other, not bring anyone down! Love this! ♥

This is a great post! I was a victim of some harsh comments this week. I had a photography client tell me she loved her photos, and then after she showed them to her friends she let them talk her into calling me and picking on things I had no control over. For an hour she went on. And it left me second guessing me on everything this week. So thanks again your post made me feel better! I am following you now!

Em, once again you gave me the chills. What a wonderful idea of sisterhood and camaraderie. We as women need this; to be able to build each other up and support each other. There is too much in this world that attempts to belittle and tear women apart. I'm with you to make a stand against it! I will proudly wear your ROCK! ;)
