To An Amazing Dad...

Last Sunday was Father's Day here in Australia. I love Father's Day, it is always so much fun making the day special for the hubby. Last year it was bittersweet as it was just before he left for recruit training, pretty sure I cried at least a dozen times.

I love my husband for who he is in our relationship, but above and beyond that I love him for the kind of father he is.

He is quiet, keeps things to himself and doesn't show a whole lot of emotion. But when it comes to our babies, he is the exact opposite. I love seeing the emotion and tenderness in his eyes when he interacts with them. You can just see the way he feels about them. It is wonderful seeing the bond they share.

I can't even begin to imagine how hard it was for him being away from his children for so long. I can imagine it was heartbreaking. I feel so blessed that we are all together again.

He would do anything for his babies. He would give his life for them.

He has shown me what a real father is. And I thank him for that everyday.

I wanted to make his present this year and get the kids involved. So the kids had a little photo session.

These photos are the end result.

I framed them each individually. I think they look fab.

And he loved them.
