My all time favourite flavour combo is peanut butter and chocolate. Nothing is better. And when those flavours come in the form of a cookie. Perfection.
This is my go to cookie recipe. Quick easy and always a hit with everyone. I love to make a batch while Ryan is down for a nap, that way he can have a warm cookie and some milk when he wakes. Never fails to put a smile on his sweet little face.
Here's what you need:
1/2 cup of softened butter
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup of chocolate chips, your choice
Make approx 24 cookies
Add the butter, peanut butter, sugar and egg to a bowl and beat until the colour starts to change. Add the flour, baking powder and salt and combine. Stir through the choc chips.
Roll into balls and place on a tray.
Bake in a moderate oven for 12 - 15 minutes. Leave on the tray for 5 minutes before moving onto a wire rack to cool.
And try not to eat the whole batch in one day.
