Grateful...

Here in Australia, Thanksgiving is a non event. Sure I may be cooking a belated Thanksgiving feast this weekend, but that has more to do with all the amazing food pictures that have filled my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram lately and that I am a pregnant lady without restraint, than the actual holiday.

But I do love the sentiment of spending a day to celebrate the things in life that you are thankful for. So why not join in on that fun. And because I am an Aussie and like to be different, I'll share with you what I am grateful for.

I am grateful for the simple things in life.

I am grateful for getting the coffee pot ready the night before so that all I have to do is flick the switch in the morning and smell that goodness brewing.

My children. They are far better than I deserve and I feel truly blessed everyday that I have been given the gift of being their mother. And another precious one on the way. So grateful.

My husband. Without him I do not know where I would be. We have grown from teenagers together, we have evolved and done so side by side. We aren't the people that we used to be and we love each other still. He works hard for us and takes amazing care of us. Very grateful to have been blessed with him as my partner for this life.

I am grateful for what we have in life. For the warmth and comfort of our home and that we have the means to fill it. For having a fridge and pantry filled with food to nourish us. For closets filled with items to clothe us.

I am grateful that Todd let me sleep in the other morning, and had the kids dressed, fed, the coffee ready to go and washing on. It felt wonderful that he did it without ever being asked.

I am grateful for life. It is a gift, a blessing. And I treasure it.

And I am grateful for this blog. For you who read it. I never stop being amazed that I have this little piece of cyberspace to share my thoughts and 'meet' so many amazing people. Thank you all. I truly am grateful for each and every one of you.
