Two Weeks Of Handmade Christmas Ideas {Day Two}

Hello and welcome to the Two Weeks Of Handmade Christmas Ideas series!

Did you see Day One? If you missed out you can catch up here. Let's get on with the fun.

{Day Two}

Christmas Bunting

I love bunting! It is such an easy way to add a little something special to any room. And What better than Christmas bunting.

Here's what you need:

Some wide bias binding (I made mine to get the colour I wanted in the width I wanted) in the length to suit the area you want to hang your bunting.
Some triangles of Christmas fabric, you can use as many or as little different fabrics as you like. For my small bunting I used 10 triangles. For the large I used 21.

Now with bunting you can be as fancy or as simple as you like. You can edge and line them, but for this project I kept the raw edges. Nice and simple and keeps the project super quick.

Starting 30cms (approx 12 inches) from the end of the binding start pinning the triangles inside the binding.

Leave an inch between each triangle.

Once all the triangles are pinned, it's time to sew. I like using a contrasting thread for the stitching. I always do, not sure why?!

Stitch from one end of the binding to the other. And you are done! All that's left to do is hang it.

This is such a quick and easy project, you will find yourself making loads of bunting.

Head back tomorrow for {Day Three} and fun Christmas table runner.

Until then happy Christmas sewing!
