Can you all believe that it is now only 1 month until Christmas? I am so excited with this being Connors first Christmas and our first as a family of five. What's not to look forward too. And with our festivities and decorating starting early this year it feels all the more special.
Todd compromised and we have decorated the house, but we are still waiting till December 1st for the tree. Mainly because we don't have a free day until then! Is it wrong to be hoping for him to get a surprise early finish so we can do it sooner? Well if it is I don't want to be right.
I have a strange sense of calm this year. I'm organised, even more so than usual. I can count on one hand the gifts I have left to buy. The cards are all written. The wrapping paper and gift tags are ready to go once the tree goes up and I have somewhere to put the wrapped gifts. The menus are sorted and food bought and stashed away in the freezer. Even our movie nights have been planned out. We've got Christmas parties and gatherings to go to, days out organised. So much to look forward to. It's fantastic being able to really enjoy this season without worrying about everything I have to do.
I've been tossing up whether or not to do my Handmade Christmas Ideas series again this year. I've done it the last two years and really enjoyed it. But I just don't know. Are you all interested in seeing it again this year? Anyone interested in participating? Shoot me an email firstname.lastname@example.org
I had plans for a different post tonight, but Ryan started throwing up just as we were heading out the door to swimming. Then the fever kicked in, so instead its just a quick post. Hopefully he's back to himself by morning, I just hate seeing my littles sick. Don't we all!
How are your Christmas plans coming? Are you an organiser like me, or do you enjoy the last minute race against the clock?
