Weekend Round Up...

christmas village shelves

We had a really full and great weekend. It really started Friday when the little boys and I went to IKEA and lunch with my mum and sister. It was long overdue and so good. Friday afternoon Todd got back after being away all week just in time to help with the school disco run. Two discos at two different times, would've been so hard without him home.

I totally forgot to take pictures of the kids before they went, they looked adorable! They had so much fun and the best photo I could get was this blur! They were holding hands and dancing and spinning in a circle. So sweet.

After a Saturday morning spotlight run for some supplies we spent the day putting up the rest of our indoor decorations and listening to Christmas music on pandora, before Mia's friend came over for a play.

We ended the day by watching Home Alone, with twinkle lights glowing while munching on popcorn and Christmas m&ms. Gosh I love this time of year.

Sunday was a big one. Ryan has been playing Milo In2Cricket and was part of the group chosen from his club to go to the Gabba and watch day 4 of the first test match between Australia and New Zealand, then go out on the field during the break and do a skills display. He's been so excited for it and had a ball. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and it bucketed down just before the kids were due to take the field. Instead that had a q & a session with two of the Australian players. He thought it was fantastic.

Meanwhile I took Mia and the other two boys to Westfield Garden City for some shopping and lunch. It was so busy but the kids were great, with Connor loving the chance to walk around with us rather than being stuck in a pram! We got some great new Christmas ornaments and part of the teachers Christmas presents ticked off the list.

We got home to a rainy evening of getting reading for the week ahead, It was such a lovely way to ease out of the weekend.

What did you get up to? I'll be back tomorrow with another Christmas planning tip. Missed out on the first two? Catch up here and here
